dc3c46
Does anyone know what pots are in the ES333? Are they 300s or 500s? I looked at them but could not read anything on them. Thinking about to put in a RS Guitarworks prewired kit for 335 in. Anybody got experience with it?
Riffster
Probably 300Kohm nominal for the volume knobs and 500Kohms for the tone controls but in reality Gibson pots always measure lower. Because of that switching to true 500kohm pots makes a difference.

Not with the 335, but I have used 500k RS kits twice in Les Pauls. No complaints... top notch... well worth the time and $ in both cases.
Valeriy
It seems to me, 300s are better for humbuckers with coil-splitting switching on push-pull pots (to get a single-coil sound from the humbucker). If there is no the splitting then more likely Pots 500k
Guest Farnsbarns
A 500k pot turned down to 60% is the same as a 300k pot. Can't do that the other way round. I'd fit 500's to anything with humbuckers, assuming I had a reason to change pots.
