brundoggie Posted March 13, 2015 Share Posted March 13, 2015 Please Please Please bring back the Nick Valensi Riviera P-94. This guitar was and still is amazing. It plays beautifully and I really want to get my hands on one and I can promise you I'm not alone. I don't know why this was ever put out of production but Epiphone if you advertise it right and get people to listen to this guitar, I guarantee they will sell. I know of people who for the past few years have searched the web everyday for someone selling this guitar but it's impossible to find any because the people who have them don't want to get rid of them. It really is a solid guitar! If anyone is reading this Topic and agrees with me please share your thoughts in the comment section we need to get this guitar selling again. Close to the ES 335 size P94s. I like those so much I am about to put a pair into my Epiphone Les Paul Florentine. This one has coils splitting humbuckers, but I love single coil pups. Gibson P94s are fabulous. They sound gorgeous in my Gibby Es175. They are simply great pickups. The frequensator. Not everyone digs what they are, or what they do. I am a big fan though. bobouz Posted March 14, 2015 Share Posted March 14, 2015 I happen to have a 2010 Nick Valensi Riviera. It was made in Korea by the Unsung factory. Of course it was preceded by the short-lived Elitist version, but the Korean Valensi is admirably close to Elitist-level quality, including a true one-piece mahogany neck (not even any wings!). The unplugged tone is very resonant, and the plugged in P-94s deliver the clarity P-90s are famous for. The combo of single-coils in a semi-hollow sporting a Frequensator are quite unique (which is what first drew my attention to it). The neck profile is small & fast playing - think '60s Gibsonish. Nice if they would continue the trend and do a year long run of one or a couple a year. Then we could just install P-94s You are thinking of the OLD 90s very early 2000s Riviera's with the full size HB's. You would have to route a correct version Riviera as they are supposed to have minis. My Peerless from 2004 had the correct minis.
