James Allen
Man I'm glad you told me that james allen. When you first posted that I thought the book was the joke. No, sir. I admit I do joke around a bit, but the writing gig is real. My publisher says I should take the whole process a little more seriously and stay off the forums and write more aggressively. But he's never played a Gibson before and doesn't understand the spell a good LP will put on a man.

Some of the antennas I've worked with are on Mars right now (the Mars Rovers), some have been destroyed (on purpose...Deep Impact...smashed into a comet) and others are...well...out there. Man this is almost better then a redneck bar. Almost. Hey James Allen I'm an avide SCI-FI reader but I'm going to check out your book. Can it be bought in hard back? Cause I might ask you to sign it for me. Thanks. To be honest, I don't care for bible thumpers either. Most of the time they are too pushy and self-righteous. The thing is I have and still do at times run in the same circles with the best bible thumpers. I can debate free will, election, grace, salvation, theology blah blah blah with the best of them, I can translate the Bible from Hebrew and Greek, I've been hurt and abused by "fellow Christians," but here I get to talk about guitars and music and not religion... usually anyways. I've avoided this thread because like I said usually people avoid people in ministry - be it a forum or the gym. Here's the truth - I'm just like you guys in so many ways. I wake up in the morning and put my pants on just like you. I struggle with things in life - finances, relationships, temptations, death of family and friends, and stuff just like anyone else; I'm not perfect nor do I pretend to be. I've paid my dues playing at parties, bars and honky tonks from about 7th/8th grade outside of Chicago - I've had beer spilt on me and my Les Paul, I've been around, but now God has changed me and when the day end, the best I can do is to reflect on the choices I've made and try to determine if it was pleasing to God and then try and do better the next time. Just like you I have other things that interest me (other than my relationship with the Lord) such as guitars which is why I come here. I don't come here to push my religion or views, but I'm available for those who have questions. That's why I'm not a typical bible thumper - I wait to see if God is working in a person's life first before talking Bible. It doesn't do any good to force the Bible on people if God is not working there. EDIT: and I did live in Alabama for 10 years so I've been in the south. flyingarmadillo
Right now I'm a geologist for a small oil company. harmonicchaos
I'm a poor kid with no steady income... Most of my money comes from birthdays and christmas... I did have a decent entrepreneurial gig back when i was 9 or something... made over a 100 bucks. Not telling what it was though... I'd get laughed at. I'll be 15 soon, so i should be able to work at subway or something soon enough. If none of my artistic passions pan out, I'll probably end up doing something with psychology or musical engineering... maybe go work for Gibson as a luthier. James Allen
There's definitely a lot of diversity on the forums. That's what makes it interesting.
