Ulhuru
Since Live already does accept a different Soundcard for input and for output, which is rather nice for a start, maybe a forhtcoming version of Live (Live 8) could accept TWO soundcards for inputs, and one of outputs. This way we could connect together at the same time RIP for the Dark Fire Inputs and XXX brand soundcard (or Rig Kontrol 2) for VG-99 / Mixer / Whatever else inputs we have, as well as Master Outputs. elantric
1st - running two sounds cards is always "iffy" Its my understanding that in order to run two sound cards at once you need Mac OSX and create a core audio aggregate audio device. On Microsoft OS you can not run two ASIO devices without resorting to limited third party work arounds - with poor results such as "ASIO4ALL". Ulhuru
Hence my suggestion to have Ableton implementing that properly, so I guess my post is a hint adressed to them... After all Ableton already properly achieved miracles before But, as I intend to beta test Live 8 soon, I sure will convey the suggestion straight to Berlin, (This could also save Gibson / Echo from having to create a RIP V2 with more inputs, btw)
