Hambonemalone
Hi all, I'm looking to buy a new Paul to replace my dear old lost friend I played on for many years, before I retired from the business and sold it. I had a '74 Gold Top Deluxe. I'm wondering which neck offered on the various Gold Tops Gibson reissues is the closest to what I had back then. Thanks in advance for your help! KSG_Standard
The neck on your deluxe was probably similar to a slim '60s taper, the neck on the R7 and '54 custom are probably going to be '50s (the way fatter neck).
myspace.com/jessenoah
there are plenty of low priced "player" guitars from the 70s, maybe try and find one similar to your old one
