Guitar Auctions UK

Browsing the web the other day I came across this site http://guitar-auctions.co.uk/ and was surprised looking through the past lots & sales at the crazy low prices some instruments had sold for. I came across this Gibson L5CES which sold for a mere £2200! http://guitar-auctions.co.uk/portfolio-post/lot-198-gibson-l-5-ces-arch-top-electric-guitar-made-in-usa/

They also have LP Customs which have sold for £1200, Gretsch Falcons sold for half the price and much more.

So, my question is has anyone here heard of this auction or bought from them? Are they legit? If so, I may have to take a trip down to one. I've never seen vintage & classic instruments sold so cheap.

I followed you link & recall coming across the site before. I lingered there only briefly.

It looks interesting. You obviously have found more than I did. I found no sales history there.

Its a couple of hours away for me, but if there was something interesting there, I would take a look. When do they advertise whats coming up for auction?

Yes I've been there. They seem a legitimate auction house. Not easy to find on a Corsham business park. I think retailers unload there'can't sells'there. I didn't manager to buy anything if it was any good the price went too high but then that's auctions for you. Bare in mind 15% buyers premium.

If you look on the website it has current listings for the upcoming auction near the top of the page under the 'catalogue' heading.
