CapAcitor bumble bee

Do the tone controls seem to work properly?

The bumblebee capacitors look good. There are also two old treble bleed capacitors on there. They look o.k. I can't tell what capacitance they are, and the resistors that are on there are really high resistance, but if it worked before the bumblebees were installed then they're probably not causing any change in the tone.

Make sure that none of the contacts on pots are touching the metal plate. Maybe some solder from the new capacitor installation is touching the plate. Try sliding a piece of paper or, better yet, cardboard in between the tabs on the pots and the plate to make sure they're not touching. If they're touching, just bend them up away from the plate or remove any blobs of solder that are touching.

Try that. [thumbup]
