Hello and welcome.

 

Different height is to compensate for the thicker strings.. the other way to do it is to make the nut slots deeper which as far as I know (well on Gibsons anyway due to the extreme headstock and string angle) is the wrong way.. that will cause binding.

 

If it plays ok don't worry about it.. if it doesn't then getting a new nut is easy and not too expensive.. but it looks ok from what I can see.
