scottpaine_69 Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 American Musical Supply.com has Introduced the 2016 Gibson Line for sale. There are a couple of SG's But as for the Les Paul the only models for sale are The Gibson Les Paul Traditional Studio, The Gibson Les Paul Traditional and The Gibson Les Paul Traditional Standard. So we have only 3 to choose from at the moment. The LP Studio The LP Traditional and The LP Standard. They put Traditional name in front of the Studio and Standard models. The do have the Nibs back over the frets, No G-Force, No Zero Fret Nut, Les Paul logo is back to the original and they do not have the wider neck/fretboard anymore. I get people not liking the wider necks and that should have been an option and not have been put on every 2015 model. But! I own a 2015 Gibson LesPaul Classic with all the stuff people didn't like. I on the other hand like the wider neck and the zero fret nut is a great Idea. I'm not saying I dislike them going back to original specs. I'm glad the are. I want to buy a 4th LP in the next couple of months and I'm torn. I love my wider neck on my 2015 but I do not have an issue wit the original neck. I just wonder if they are still gong to offer the wider neck and other options for the very limited few of us out there like myself that like the necks and zero fret nut. I'm also wondering if they are just putting out the 3 models I mentioned or if other models will follow. As of now the 2016 Gibson U.S.A. line is missing a few models like the Gibson Les Paul Classic. The only offer the Studio,Traditional and Standard . Where is My 2016 Gibson Les Paul Classic? Rabs Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Interesting... More detail up there than whats on amazon... So from what I can see... We have the T-range... totally traditional specs.. which seems to make up most of the range (so far) I cant see a SINGLE robot tuner :o (so far) And Standards and Traditionals that DONT have the T in the name are Plus tops... And the faded series is back with gig bags (the other studios seem to still come with cases)... which I love, cos I love that series AND the original type 60s and 50s tribute studios are back too (but still with dark backs) Hmm.. So as of yet, no Classic... I have a feeling there will be a bit more to come yet.. Ohh, and I really like those new Vs, they are lookers.... (especially that red one)
