Meritone Music Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Hi guys, Today I'm celebrating blues guitarist Freddie King with this specially made King-style uptempo Blues backing track in E! The intro at the start was played on my Gibson 335 (sunburst) from 1968, which I picked up in New York a handful of years ago. For those who like to play along to jam tracks themselves..... happy jamming!! Born on this day in 1934, King blended Texas and Chicago Blues into a fiery and creative style of his own...he's just a super-inspiring player!!
JimR56 Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 Good stuff, man. It's great to see younger people getting into Freddie. I was just getting into him when I was young too, but that was about 40 years ago. In fact, he died right around the time I got hip to him. If I had discovered him just a few years sooner, I might have had a chance to see him in person, because he used to stop in and play at the local blues club back in the 70's (where I saw Albert for the only time I caught him live). Anyway, keep doin' what you're doin'!
