Gibson Artist Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 ive been spying Reverb a lot lately, was wondering what the fees are to sell on there? Do they accept Paypal? Anyone made any transactions on that site?
darling67 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I have sold several guitars and other items on Reverb this past year. In some instances, I've sold times in less than 24 hours(!). Fees are lower than eBay, and yes they accept PayPal. I will never sell another musical instrument or musical accessory on eBay again. I highly recommend!

stein Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I do, but I also at times like it "dry"...that is, a LOT of times a dry signal is what's called for. I use the reverb on my amps a lot, not addicted where I always use it, but addicted to amps that have reverb. And natural spring reverb is WAY better than pedals or effects that replicate it. I guess the only way to "hear" that is in person, although we can talk about how great it all sounds. So while it's cool to "see" whats for sale and for how much, it ain't like shopping and playing stuff in person. Cause you STILL get to experience the guitars you don't buy.
badbluesplayer Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Reverb.com is a pretty good place to buy stuff. You can get good deals on there partly because the seller fees are lower so people list stuff a little cheaper. Selling stuff is a little more complicated. The fees are way lower than ebay but there aren't as many potential buyers looking at what you're selling. I haven't had very good luck selling on Reverb. You have to list the stuff a little lower than you would on ebay to get any action. It's the flip side of what it's like to buy stuff. If that makes any sense.
lazarusvt84 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I've bought and sold 2 or three guitars in last 12 months. Not sure I feel as comfortable with their 'protections'....like I do with eBay (whether I should or not is another matter). A year or so ago...Reverb had only 175 lefty electric guitars...they are now at 475. Good place for lefties.... I like the 'make an offer' option that is far more common than on eBay.
surfpup Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 Yep. Definitely recommended. I've bought and sold there a fair bit. Only bought a few times, but sold 30 or so pedals and attenuators there. Good people, and they only charge 3.5% (there is another 3.5% for PayPal of course if you are paid that way).
