How come Epiphone never offered anything for free when I purchased my guitars?

Something that's really been bugging me lately......how come Epiphone wasn't offering any nifty 'freebies' when I purchased my Casino, Sheraton II, Wildkat, P-93, Dot, 335 Pro, or Les Paul Standard Pro guitars?

I bought a Swingster when there was a promotion going on for a recording interface. Buy the guitar by this date, get a free,, what ever it was...

I never received that interface, nor had I ever heard a single word from them regarding what was going on with it.

Where are you based?

Because I got nothing either (literally). I'm in the uk.

I'm guessing they didn't come up with the idea yet?

that's odd. I did that a couple of times by the rebate link on the promotion and got the items.

the hunch at that time was the one caveat "while supplies last" they list probably is why.

truth be told, I hadn't even thought twice about since until I saw this post..

9 times out of 10 this stuff is thrown out by the store.

My Sheraton was a Guitar Center 'off-the-wall' purchase....so I didn't get any of the 'goodies' that come with the guitar (bumper sticker, tool, cable, poster, etc.).....after that I would insist on getting my new Epi purchases right out of the box!

Guitar Center is notorious for throwing out the boxes along with the stuff in it. the chances of them having one unopened on hand would be slim. probably use this as a sales ploy to get you to buy a case.
