Lefty Guy Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Sorry, no Gibson content ('though a nice sunburst) but my new Larrivee all-hog 000-03 "Vintage" arrived yesterday. Finally I found a smaller box that punches above its weight! http://s33.photobucket.com/user/ghchill/Larrivee/story
Lefty Guy Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 "This story is Private." sorry, should be ok now
BigKahune Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 . Still "private". . I checked out a standard advert pic. Looks nice with a vintage style burst. .
MorrisrownSal Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 I see it. This looks like an amazing guitar! The burst is not as gradual as a Gibby burst, but it's different and damn good!I have a Martin D15 that I love; I'm a big fan of all hog guitars. I also played an LG2 Banner all Hog which was awesome, but just pricey. Let's hear it? I'm real curious.
Fullmental Alpinist Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Beautiful guitar. But I think they put the pickguard on the wrong side....
MissouriPicker Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Yeah, think how much more gorgeous it would be if the pick guard was put on right....lol.........Congrats on a really sweet guitar. Never owned a Larrivee, but I've always heard nothing but good about it. Play it for many years.
flatbaroque Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 mmm..looks great..bet it sounds good too.Enjoy.I can see myself sitting on a verandah picking some blues on that.
Smurfbird Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Love the look! Came close once to buying a Larrivee but didn't really have the money to spend. Would love to hear it in action.Surely a different tone from your Gibbys and it likely provides a good contrast. Enjoy and congrats!
Jesse_Dylan Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Wow, that's a looker! I had a Larrivee once that I bought used, a 12-fret OM model. It was someone signature edition, Pete something? It was a great guitar. At least, I think it was. UPS destroyed it in shipment. :( I did get my money back, though, as I recall, through insurance. Took a long time! I think I got the full amount.
stein Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I think I know how you feel. I gots me an OM-03, but in all hog. I settled on it while trying to find a Martin, but I couldn't find an old one for sale, and the new ones, they weren't any good (though I DID play every single one hoping). When I found the Larrivee, the search was over. Didn't need the Martin. I think your description is spot on.
