Mikeo Posted October 4, 2015 Share Posted October 4, 2015 I currently have an SG with the 490/498 p'ups. I like them for harder rock stuff but they don't have much subtlety to them at all. On NGD I'm going to be looking for LP. Playing-wise I'm into the rock and blues type of stuff. So while I do like an aggressive p'up I want to be able to cover clean to mean. I've always had Fenders before so I'm not as well versed in the Gibson's as I'd like to be. Any suggestions are welcome. If you're using an OD pedal to push the front of your amp, dial that back too.
