NGD in the not too distant future

I currently have an SG with the 490/498 p'ups. I like them for harder rock stuff but they don't have much subtlety to them at all. On NGD I'm going to be looking for LP. Playing-wise I'm into the rock and blues type of stuff. So while I do like an aggressive p'up I want to be able to cover clean to mean. I've always had Fenders before so I'm not as well versed in the Gibson's as I'd like to be. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you

Dial back the volume on those SG pups. or drop a set of 75 Classic in it.

Some folks love the P90's and Duncan makes a direct replacement for the humbucker slot called a Phat kat.

I'm not sure if you are a tele guy or a strat guy, or something else Fender has made over the years, but comparing a Fender to a Gibson is as different as night and day.

If you're using an OD pedal to push the front of your amp, dial that back too.

Personally I would not waste the money swapping out anything, until you really had a chance to try out some with 57 classics in it.
