Wayne
How much is a used WM-45 worth? Is 700-800 U$ too high? I stumbled across one locally but havent played it yet. Is it truly identical to a J-45 w/o the frills? (not that a J-45 has frills...).
fortyearspickn
Price isn't bad. They were going for $1,000 a year ago. They were discontinued a year or two ago because they were eating into the J45 sales. Yes, they are the same as a basic J45 except 'no frills' or sunburst. ponty
A few years ago, I played one of these guitars on 48th Stree NY. With out doubt, it was the best sounding, playing Gibson they had - and thay had alot. A very nice guitar.
nid2007
no reason to feel bad about $800 for one. Most of us have never played a bad one.
thabesh
the price you quote is very reasonable given that it is in good condition. They have come down. I have a WM45 and have found it to be very versatile and when I bought it, I specifically chose it rather than the J45's I was looking at then. The only thing that I think would be an improvement is for the neck to have just a little more size to it. But, that's just me. Otherwise, a fine guitar for the money.
