Fake Vintage Gibson

I'm not going to tell you it IS a real Gibson but I will tell you this: Up until about 10 years ago I would have immediately said it was a fake because of the Chicago-esque (Kay,Regal) f-holes. However around 2006 I played an L-30 that was about a 1936 or so and it had those same f-holes.

I have wondered if Gibson bought pressed tops from Chicago at any time for use in their low end models.

Sorry I couldn't be more help, I just wanted to warn you if anyone screams 'fake' too quickly....it's not quite that clear-cut this time.
