nspeer Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I own the recently reintroduced "1956" Les Paul Standard Pro Goldtop (not to be confused with an earlier reissue called a " '56 Les Paul Goldtop") and I much prefer the beefier neck profile to my 1960 Tribute Plus. Epiphone calls the neck profile a "1950's rounded "C" profile. I'm thinking of selling the Tribute Plus and hunting for a Bonamassa Goldtop (the 2010 version) since it's billed as having a 1959 rounded "D" profile. My question for anyone who has played or who owns both: is the neck on the Bonamassa much beefier than the 1956 Goldtop or is it pretty much the same. The 1956 Goldtop has become my favorite guitar because the neck profile is just about prefect for me. I am hoping the Bonamassa would be equally as pleasing. I do not have the opportunity to actually play one, so I'm hoping someone will chime in here. thanks!
