I normally buy used guitars...something about them appeals to me, and they usually are cheaper...but I found this online laSt week and it seemed like just what I wanted.

I have 4 other Epiphone arch tops now, and all but this one are older Korean made, except for my Elitist Casino which seems to be made in several different places.

They are ALL really good instruments, and all worth having, IMO.

This is a Chinese made brand new Epiphone and it seems to be as good as or better than the old and famous Korean versions. I like the hot pickups, the coil splitter is very useful, hardware is great and the quality of work is beautiful.

Epi seems to have made real efforts to upgrade everything in their line and the REALLY did a great job on this one!

Congrats, old mark! Like you, most of my acquisitions have been used. The exception is my Qingdao-made Epi Dot I picked up new a few years ago - exquisitely built machine, sister to your 335. Just great guits!

Hi Mark

You're going to be happy.

I've had my Sheraton Pro II for 2 weeks now, and I really am digging it. I did have to do some fret dressing as I had a number of high spots to deal with. (a slow process but, worth the effort.)

Once that was done, it plays fantastic. my action is set around 2/64s (Low E) 1/64s (High E). Nothing frets out, no buzzing at all. Terrific!

I finally had a chance to take it to a rehearsal session, we had to take a few weeks off due to band mates having colds, and then the holiday (Thanksgiving) last week.

very impressive, the Probuckers are quite versatile, and the coil split is a cool bonus feature. We do everything from blues, to hard rock with a good sampling of originals mixed in. The Sheraton covered all of it with no issues what so ever. had to watch the feed back a bit with some of the higher gain settings I use now and then, but it was quite easy to tame that with a few EQ tweaks.

I have to say, based on my previous experience with the MIK late 90s Sheraton I had, the new Pro IIs are much better all around.

Amazing, given it's MIC and the negative stigma anything MIC comes with.. not the case here. it's great.

Let us know how you two are getting along..

Mine is going to my tech shortly for fret level and hand polish. She did that with my 2003 Peerless Casino and it came home like glass.

Epi is really improving their QC all over the product line.

For some reason I posted this thread twice...sorry. My computer has been really odd and I did not know it had posted
