Question about 57 classic bridge pickup

I am looking at purchasing a used 57 classic (non-plus) pickup that was removed from the bridge position of a Les Paul, and was wondering if it would be any different to the 57 classics found in the neck position of the Les Pauls? I am looking at using it as a neck pup instead.

Thanks.

.

Hey CB. AFAIK there's only the Classic and the higher output Classic Plus (and the Classic 4 Conductor which has the Plus output level).

My 359 has two factory installed Classics - the bridge and the neck are the same non-Plus pups you're asking about. Of course some models pair the Classic (neck) and Plus (bridge).

Hope that helps.

I wouldn't worry.

Simply measure it, and if it reads higher than the bridge pup you have, just simply put the stronger pup in the bridge position. Provided, of corse, you have a 57 classic in the bridge now.

If not, what are the chances the bridge pup you have now is stronger than the 57 classic "bridge"?
