frenchie1281734003
So the other day I am comparing the top bracing of both my 94 Guild JV52 and 94 Gibson J100Xtra, and happen to notice that inside the top of my J100 there is a name pencilled between the soundhole, and the number one brace, ahead of the neck. The name is "Eric A Luhrsen". So as you do, I googled him, and this is what I`ve found from 2000:- http://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/search-continues-for-shooter/article_284c0fc3-33ab-5213-aedf-b54debf3084d.html It makes some reading. I doubt that he was shot for his guitar building skills, as my J100 Xtra is fabulous! He appears to have a facebook profile, so thankfully still alive. Steve. 62burst
Y'can't make this stuff up. ". . . west of Ferguson Lane" ? Is the pickguard on the rosette?
frenchie1281734003
I didn`t twig the Ferguson lane bit, and yes the pickguard covers part of the rosette. But is that enough of a motive to shoot the poor guy? Steve.
j45nick
Is it just me, or is it slightly off that the same guy gets shot twice--for no apparent reason--while taking a walk? Maybe you should take another look inside your J100......

duluthdan
This is the stuff that makes great folk-lore, and gig banter. Bozeman does still exhibit some of that independent wild west attitude, in addition to being the home to Gibson Acoustic.
