fretplay
Have any members tried the old standards on acoustic guitar. I know it's not the usual blues rock thing and not written for guitar but a challenge ! Here's a song written in 1918 to start us off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CQ7cnJ0RKI

I've heard this song done by many....but I like this version best.... not too fast, like it's usually played.

DanvillRob
My slower version: https://soundcloud.c...-3/afteryagone2 BluesKing777. Very cool rendition.... I put one together, (the word phrasing is challenging), I'll try to get it up this weekend, (pretty much what my wife says to me too!).
MissouriPicker
Pretty cool rendition, fretplay. I've been playing-around with it for the last 30 minutes or so and it ain't as tricky as I expected on the timing. Nice job, man.
stein
Thanks..... If my version put you off eating, there is always...pizza, McDonalds..... BluesKing777. No, that wasn't the McD's/Pizza version. That was the going out, and someone's getting laid tonight version. Not the bar, the restaurant/hotel lounge version. I just wasn't going out or had anywhere to go, so I had to wash a pan and use the oven for a change.
fretplay
Thanks MP I like it speeded up rather than slow and sad. Of course the guitar break is overdubbed but the same guitar. Happy Christmas to you. Pretty cool rendition, fretplay. I've been playing-around with it for the last 30 minutes or so and it ain't as tricky as I expected on the timing. Nice job, man. I used the Fiona Apple version http://www.guitareta...ple/114269.html You can get her singing it on You Tube too. If you record it let me know! Pretty cool rendition, fretplay.
