Leonard McCoy
May your New Year's resolutions carry you through the year. My resolution is to fully transcribe Cat Stevens' acoustic greats with the original chords and riffs. And I'm well on the road to doing that over at https://catstevensguitar.wordpress.com (which see). Happy New Year to everyone!
Irish_Rover
Cheers Dodger, and a Happy New Year to you and everybody else here. Sorry, I did drink too much, was a bit fragile this morning. 2016 is an all change year for me, left my job of the last seven years last week, my apartment is due to be demolished and I'm moving into a brand new one at the end of the year. Off to England for a month tomorrow (to see my AJ-220S) and I think I have some work lined up for when I get back here in February.

capmaster
Happy New Year all around as well! Since I don't drink - I never liked alcohol or the like -, there are no problems here. I'm just a bit tired out. ;)

Leonard McCoy
Great stuff McCoy. I have been a great fan of Cat since he first appeared in the charts with I love my dog, wow thhat was a long time ago!! I Love My Dog is among my favorites of all time! I'll get to his early stuff eventually (First Cut Is the Deepest, I Love My Dog, and so forth) once I have the three great acoustic albums of his transcribed in the main. I'm almost two-third through already. His oeuvre his expansive, to say the least.

That's a great resolution Leonard - I love "Father & Son" and a few other Cat tracks. I've done the same with Paul Weller through The Jam up until his most recent solo work - no website - just big pdfs!

A very talented guitar instructor named Jerry, of Jerry's Guitar Bar has lots of Cat Steven's songs already transcribed, to include the Alun Davies parts. With each song, he includes a complete play through, the lesson, the song sheet, and the tabs. And these are the recorded versions, not the campfire easy versions. https://www.jerrysguitarbar.com/guitar-video-lessons/the-artist-collections/the-cat-stevens-collection-2/
