NHTom Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Not real exciting here, but figured I'd post this in case it helps anyone out. Had a small Carvin 2x12 cab that I was looing to use in a few more applications then it was intended. It's a handy/light/portable 2x12 so perfect to carry when a larger cab is not needed. Problem is, it was direct wired to the jack. I came across the Plug and Play Speaker Cabinet Jack Plate. It comes with all the wiring all ready installed. All you do is mount it and run the wires according to their schematic. They all ready come with blade terminals on the ends. Now on the same cab, you have the choice of 8 Ohm Stereo and 4/16 Ohm Mono just by what jack you plug into. I didn't want to cut the hole in the cabinet so since it was open backed, I just mounted it with 3 screws in the corner.....figure if it didn't work out, I could put the cab back to stock and just put 3 black screws in the holes. Been using it for a while and it works great. I've run several different amps through it and it works out really well for amps with no ohm switch on the back. Hope this solves someone else's problem like my own. NHTom
