bobouz
Imho, that's visually one of the worst pickguards I've ever seen. I can hardly get past it to look at the rest of the guitar!

aerohead
1451928652[/url]' post='1726944'] Must say it collapses for Nazareth here - I can hear Lennon shout : Ouuhh you can't do that. . . Lol! Exactly! The headstock inlay would have been enough minus $8000!
jannusguy2
I found an email from Music Villa this morning offering 3 Lennon J160s; white, natural with Lennon's cartoon sketches on the soundboard, and a sunburst version. $28,000.00 for the set. I'm gonna have to think about it. http://acousticletter.com/shop/gibson-70th-anniversary-john-lennon-j-160e-set-of-3-guitars/
j45nick
I found an email from Music Villa this morning offering 3 Lennon J160s; white, natural with Lennon's cartoon sketches on the soundboard, and a sunburst version. $28,000.00 for the set. I'm gonna have to think about it. I thought about it for about two seconds before saying "no thanks". That's not a very effective pitch for getting rid of excess stock. The only good thing that came out of it for me was that I started watching some fairly early Beatles videos involving John on the J-160, including "I Feel Fine", which features the accidental feedback from the J-160. Pretty cool to read the history of that particular recording. As a former studio/concert engineer, the mechanics of sound production--especially the fortuitous accidents--never lose their attraction. Rambler
Lennon and McCartney both took Martin D-28s with them - to India. And played them from the White Album one. first appeared publicly on the Helloooo-Gbye video. But you knew that.

uh66
Below the list price "Find a dealer..." Good luck, finding a dealer. That´s not even funny. Love my Martins, but, I mean, come on. Maybe started as a parody on the Peace 160E and someone took it serious? oh no.
