i was referring to the classic i must admit that the classic never was my cup of tea altough the traditionals are real nice ,if i know the new traditional is good i will sell one of my guitars to get that one.

Since im playing old school mid 80s hard and glamrock it fits me well.

Hoross, the original Classics were very much like the Traditional, kind of like a fore runner to them and the reissues.

the Floyd Rose should work out about the same either way.

Just purchased a 2016 Traditional t. I'd stay away from them. The top is made of inferior maple (infact it's actually MDF), the back has gloss sprayed in big blobs in places. The neck feels too fat, yet too thin, yet also too inbetween. The guitar is too heavy, so I took the cap off and drilled 35 more holes, but it's still too heavy. The fretboard is made of Swiss hard cheese, baked to resemble rosewood (and it's bowed). I miss the GForce, so I drilled and glued in a Rolex watch on the back of the headstock, so at least I can keep time now instead of being in tune.

Joking aside, I like the look of all the t line Les Pauls this year, though have yet to try them out. I'm sure the Traditional would be fantastic.

My buddy just bought his first guitar an pulled the trigger in a 2016 trad..... He's never played a guitar and is going to join the forum.. But that guitar is sick!!! Those 57 pups are awesome!!! He also purchased a Marshall amp... I personally would buy a new trad if I had the cash.... Instead I bought a 2015 f150 yesterday... So my wife would be real cheesed if I bought a guitar haha.. But I would recommend a new trad if your debating on purchasing one..

Sometimes I wonder why all those names for ONE guitar model.

And why some seem to be better or worse than others.

I think there are good playing Lesters and some that don't do it equally well.

Doesn't matter what's stamped on the truss rod cover.

Neck shape is far more important.

I have an LPJ that is equal in sound and playability to my Traditional.

Different tone and feel, but both feel like Les Paul's should.

Again model name, finish, glue, or year of manufacturing make no difference, at least to me, it feels right or it doesn't.

Go to a shop try them all and decide, we can't tell you what feels right to you.

I bought a 2016 Les Paul Traditional T in Honey Burst a couple months ago. I love it. I've played many Les Paul models before and they are all a little different. There was just something very right about the sound and feel of my 2016 Traditional. It is bright and resonant. The neck on mine is pretty much a '59 profile and very comfortable. The AA maple top is not the usual book matched perfection of higher end Gibson LPs, but I like the more unique look of it.

I got one a couple days ago. I am absolutely digging it. Gorgeous guitar, check out my NGD and family picture posts, and plays and sounds just as well
