duluthdan Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Music Villa has a new special something - wowzers ! Its a J-15 in Sunburst !!!
MissouriPicker Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Sweet. I love sunburst. I can see myself looking for one of those. Looking-forward to seeing the contrast between the neck and the back of the guitar.
J-1854Me Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Yummy -- that's just what a good Gibson needs!! Fred
58 Relic Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 1452294574[/url]' post='1728651']Sweet. I love sunburst. I can see myself looking for one of those. Looking-forward to seeing the contrast between the neck and the back of the guitar. Me too Lovely looking guitar , maybe I'm wrong but it looks like they have sprayed the maple neck to match the back . Even if the maple is left plain it would look great against the sunburst . They sure are coming out with some nice guitars.
bobouz Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Nope, I'll pass. Dark sunbursts just don't work for me at all.
AnneS Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Be interested to see if they start turning up elsewhere...
Mickthemiller Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Well if they had a special one made I suppose Tony will show it off very soon. It's strange how Music Villa aren't a Gibson online dealer!!
Lars68 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I'm even more curious about the guitar in the background, the one with the seven miniature heads on its back. Lars
ponty Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Seriously...who would want that? A Martin D-something with the family tree on the back!! However, the J-15 SB looks great. I wonder if it is the sign of things to come? What price?
kelly campbell Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I love the looks of the SB but my j-45 has that covered so I can not see me buying a j-15 sb I will just stick with the natural finish. Love both my guitars...the J-15 my newest may be my favorite now.

E-minor7 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Looks good (said the Standard owner) - could we see the whole guitar. . Walnut - why not. Eeeehh, that bridge would have to take some darker wood-stain. No, not envious of the extra ring.
B1ues Boy Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I think these Standard Shifted bracing Gibson J-15 are the best sounding guitars made by Gibson Bozeman
Rain DeLay Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 Just an FYI that another one of these sunburt J-15's popped up last month at Bailey Brothers in Alabama...the guy that bought it heard there were only 2 made and the other stayed in Bozeman I'm assuming to Music Villa. In his pics you can see the nice burst on the maple neck. Here's the link to his NGD post: http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=410210 Interesting to read in that thread that someone also said they purchased the sunburst from Music Villa last month. Maybe Gibson decided to make more than 2???

I was wondering what it was that made me not warm to this guitar , think you may have got it with that extra ring around the soundhole. Its a no from me.
ponty Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 This is cool.Notice the 'custom'logo behind the headstock. My only other mods I would like is a pearl Gibson logo, to go with the sound hole ring. Oh..and white button klusons.
