58 Relic
Good Evening I have notice a problem when useing a Kyser capo on my J45 . When placing the capo above the third fret , normally on fret four or five I have the problem of the strings vibrating behind the capo , this is causing a buzzing sound . The guitar is set up to Gibson specs and I use Gibson Master Built 12 - 53 . The guitar plays perfectly without the capo and when using it on frets 1 2 and 3 Many thanks for any help
duluthdan
Probably the contour of your capo, especially since it seems to under perform the higher up you go. . I have Paige capos on my 45 and 50 and 35, work great.
BigKahune
. More common than you think. Many players use a well placed sock or rag - sometimes behind the capo, sometimes behind the nut. If you want to spend money - .
CAMELEYE
Maybe buy a better capo, there are plenty to chose from. I personally prefer the Planet waves NS pro. D'Addario makes a similar one.
