maxime1122
Did a guitar cover (just half the song) of I Believe In A Thing Called Love by The Darkness (if some of you know that band). I found a very good backing tracking track without guitars, so I added them. Lead track: Gibson Custom LP Axcess, Marshall Super Lead 1959. Rhythm track: Gibson Custom LP Axcess, Marshall Super Lead 1959. I'm happy with the result, I still thinking about changing the stock pickups in my LP Axcess (stock 498T/496R), but after messing again with pickup height, etc. and using the tone control on bridge pickup, I'm starting to like it. I did this to give me an idea how it sounds in a mix. BTW, I was using Greenbacks and mic'ed with the classic SM57. The 1959SLP is an awesome recording amp and live too Here's the track (on SoundCloud): https://soundcloud.com/maximepauldegarie/the-darkness-i-believe-in-a-thing-called-love-cover Hope you like it! boozeball
Nice job! That first Darkness record is soooooo good, the guitar work on it is fantastic. I saw them on the first US tour and was blown away by the fact that they could recreate that sound live, I thought it was all studio production and that the live show wouldn't hold up, I was gladly mistaken.
