Another open mic, another Gravity

So there's a popular Asheville venue holding a January-only, Thursday night open mic. (The Grey Eagle was recently named as one of Garden & Gun Magazine's top 10 list of best music venues in the South, a list that includes the Ryman: http://gardenandgun....rn-music-venues)

In addition to being just a fine stage and sound set-up, where the restaurant and bar are in a separate room, the host is efficient at keeping us all to a 2-song limit, so this is bringing out some really excellent talent in a town loaded with singer-songwriters

If you're up for yet another rendition of this original, here is an iphone-quality video (sounds best with earphones, probably) of my attempt to hold my own. (Let me know if this link doesn't work...)

Anyway, thought I'd share some fun and to remind anyone who needs reminding to get out there and play!!

Thanks...

Dang--okay, I will have to get my hands on the recording and try to upload to youtube instead. I'll holler when I've done that.

Thanks, gents...

I think the link works now...Wish there was a way to zoom the vid, but if so, it's beyond me still.

Thanks-

Really nice, Anne! Guitar sounded great, delivery was great too, and I can tell that you're a very good lyricist from all of your songs that I've heard. But you might have to reach out to John Mayer to get permission for the title. :-)

Good Gawd I love that song ! A friend of mine is spending some time right now in Ashville - Jackson Emmer - he sent this message: Dear fellow musicians, I'm now doing some booking for this outstanding venue in Asheville. The Isis Music Hall. Best sound system in town. Holler if you want a show, and tell your touring friends to hit me up! http://isisasheville.com/music-hall/booking/ Sounds like a relatively new venue, is it on your radar ?

Hi, Dan--Yes, Isis has a great rep (despite its now-unfortunate name), but I haven't been to a show there yet. Maybe I'll look your pal up, for grins. Hmm...:-k
