I remember seeing these when I was browsing Thomann's site a few months back.

 

The 3 pickup Custom looks gorgeous and I'd definitely be interested in that if I was in the market for another LP. The Aspen white LP looks cool too, but the Explorer is really ugly to my eyes. It says 1958? I don't recall ever seeing one of those ever! Unless it was based on a 1958 that somebody decided to hack in to that shape? I certainly wouldn't pay over £2000 for it, I might consider buying it as a novelty item for £50.

Thanks for the info Bence, it's very interesting. I wondered why you had called it the Clapton cut in your first post! I'd never seen him play one before. It certainly is an odd shape and very much an acquired taste in terms of looks.

Oh but put on EC Was Here and whatever it is that is making those sounds, almost the whole record, you won't care what it looks like!
