Mothys Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Hi, I recently acquired a limited edition of the EJ200 acoustic guitar. According to the serial number, it was made in the Korea's Peerless factory in 2003. It features a flame maple back and side, could it be the reason why this model is named EJ200FM? If anyone has more information about this guitar, please share. Thanks!
ohyew812 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 It's an all laminate version of the Gibson J-200. I have the EJ-200SCE, the difference being it's a cutaway, solid Sitka top, and has the onboard eSonic2 system.
LPS1976 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I think that's a fair assumption that FM is Flamed Maple. not 100% sure but that is a good guess.
Stringbreaker Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Wow, the maple on the B/S is gorgeous. I assume (along with LPS1976) that FM stands for Flamed Maple, but unsure.
