darling67 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Here's a Before and After image of a few minor changes I am going to make to my LP Studio Deluxe II. I think these small and inexpensive changes will give this guitar a more "vintage" look.
capmaster Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 What about some zebra pickup rings? Just kidding... looks nice!
btoth76 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 In the year 2525... :) Well, I prefer the "before" outfit. I think, the cream pickguard screams for cream pickup surrounds. Cheers... Bence

btoth76 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Scream for cream - sounds like desire for fat tone For woman tone. :)
capmaster Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 For woman tone. :) That would mean rather scream than cream - as far as women are concerned. ;)
darling67 Posted January 21, 2016 Author Posted January 21, 2016 What about some zebra pickup rings? Just kidding... looks nice! Haha! Thanks. In the year 2525... :) Well, I prefer the "before" outfit. I think, the cream pickguard screams for cream pickup surrounds. Cheers... Bence The original "Before" ain't bad. But I like the look of the cream "appointments". Makes for more contrast. I WAS considering getting some cream pickup rings, but I think I'll leave them black—for now. No pickguard, Gold Speed Knobs. Make it so. rct A guitar without a pick guard is a major pet peeve of mine. But speed knobs as opposed to top hat? Hmmmmm.... you might be on to something. Thanks for the input guys...
darling67 Posted January 22, 2016 Author Posted January 22, 2016 It is done. rct, I took your lead and went with the "speed knobs". They look great. I am keeping the black Pickup rings... I like the hint o' black left remaining.
darling67 Posted January 22, 2016 Author Posted January 22, 2016 I like speed knobs, too! Yes. Good call by rct.
