cody78 Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Stumbled upon this web article from the actual company who restored Rich's ES-335 and I found it fascinating. Thought you might all enjoy it too. http://www.rsguitarworks.net/cms2/saving-rich-robinsons-335/
capmaster Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Definitely fascinating. Thank you for sharing here, Cody. I wonder how extensive it would be if they had pictured the entire process of saving the neck, too.
pippy Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 That was an amazing job! Thanks for sharing. I'd have liked to read Mr. Robinson's thoughts on the end-result and just how close it felt to how it was before the flood. Pip.
Riffster Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 Simply fascinating. A few years ago I took my LP to Joe Glasser here locally and there were racks of flood-damaged vintage guitars waiting for similar treatments. I cringed when I saw them.
Rabs Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Very cool... What amazing work.... I remember the pics of all those ruined guitars when the flood hit.. Just totally heart-breaking to see (I think it was the same flood)
