quapman Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 The end of Sabbath for me was Vol. 4 I remember buying Sabbath Bloody Sabbath new and not liking it that much. It was OK. Sabotage was pretty good but by Technical Ecstasy they completely lost me. I quite like 13 though. I was a huge Sabbath fan as a kid. I can still listen to the old stuff and get off. It's just great music.

rct Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 We can only hope that when it actually does end he will take that screeching twit Mrs Osborne back where she belongs. rct
JayinLA Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I was listening to a podcast and Ozzy said "No one wants to hear a new Sabbath album...There will be no album, only the tour, and that's it."
Riffster Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I have a ticket for the Indianapolis show. They do have 4 new songs on CD that will be sold on the tour. The 13 album is good, the compression on the CD is absolutely crushing, very ruined, everybody wanted that original Sabbath sound.
IanHenry Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 We can only hope that when it actually does end he will take that screeching twit Mrs Osborne back where she belongs. rct No thank you very much, you can keep Her with our compliments. Ian
btoth76 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I was listening to a podcast and Ozzy said "No one wants to hear a new Sabbath album...There will be no album, only the tour, and that's it." He is right. :D As much as I loved Ozzy's solo records (well, the first three), I hate Sabbath with Him. I know He is the original singer, that's how Sabbath is genuine, blah blah... but to me, it was the best with Tony Martin. Not to mention, Tony Martin is a real singer. Bence.

Bence. imo, dio was right when he called ozzy a clown. he's **** as a frontman, and as a singer he's nothing special. he contributed very little to sabbath, tony says so indirectly in his book, and in the same fashion, ozzy's book confirms it. strictly a case of luck on his part that he ever became more than a janitor. but tony martin? you're not just trollin? according to iommi's's book, he was a disaster
btoth76 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Hello. That surprises me. I really like Tony Martin's voice. The songs they composed in that period are my favorite ones from them. Mr. Martin was brilliant on Forcefield II as well. One never knows what is behind the curtains of a band. Cheers... Bence
merciful-evans Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I got the debut Black Sabbath album shortly after it came out. Enjoyed it too. After another year became disenchanted with heavy metal. Never bought any more.
btoth76 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 ... but Tony Martin? you're not just trollin? according to iommi's's book, he was a disaster Hello again. I just bumped into this: "Tony Martin had been our singer for the last three albums, and I must admit, I did feel bad that we had to let him go. But the truth is, he wanted to get out. He was getting more into writing for other people instead of performing Sabbath material" http://www.guitarworld.com/prime-cuts-tony-iommi-recalls-best-and-worst-black-sabbath-heaviest-band-south-heaven?page=0,5 Cheers... Bence
LarryUK Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Tony Martin is a friend of mine and he was treated terribly by Sabbath. He was getting ready to tour and got a call from the manager saying they didn't need him any more and that was that. Dumped. He tried to call band members but his calls were rejected. But, I will give a bit of info. He's talking to Iommi again and they're going to work again. Sabbath? I don't know but it could just be a joint album. A recent pic. From his Facebook page.
btoth76 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Hm... Anyways, give Him my best regards, Larry. :) Cheers... Bence
LarryUK Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 He still does a lot of work. This is good that he did a while back. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpCsPhBSKYQ
