Interesting ebay find

The guitar and vocals were recorded in my living room in early '84. Tim Farrell (violin) Perley Curtis (dobro) and Norm Pooler (bass) were added later.

 

I have to hand it to my father. He wanted to do this so he did it. He obsessed about it, worried, connived to get the money, but by God, he got it done.

 

Kinda cool to see it show up on ebay or other sites once in a while.

Maybe someday. I've got several copies of the album and I also have the master reel somewhere. One of these days I'm going to splurge and get the stuff I need to convert stuff to digital.

 

I have no idea what that entails. I'm sure it's not a huge deal, I just haven't gotten around to it. Ditto for converting all my VHS home movies to DVD.

Ohh ive done that before... Its pretty easy.. if its got phono sockets you can do it...

That is just awesome! How cool is that! That's got to tickle you that your Dad's efforts are worldwide all these years later!

 

Here's what I use and it works very easily. It's so easy to use (plugs into a USB port on your computer) that I've never had a problem with it whatsoever. It will work easily for what you're wanting to do.
