SmokeyGhost Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Yeah, well. What has this dude done in the last 200 years or so? Nothing but decomposing. Seriously, he was one genius and his music simply soars over us mere mortals. I never tire of listening to him.
cody78 Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Yes, Mozart was a true genius and nice to see him mentioned on this forum I tend to listen to 20th century composers like Shostakovich, Penderecki, Ives, Part, Barber, Debussy and Copland much more than Mozart, but do listen to him every once in a while and enjoy it. Everyone on the forum should go and see a full orchestra perform at least once in their lifetime as there is no other experience as powerful and overwhelming.
kelly campbell Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 I have to say that he is my favorite of the big composers..indeed a genius.
capmaster Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 My favorite Mozart composition is his Horn Cocerto No. 4 in E-flat major, K. 495. I didn't find a full-length video on the web, so sadly no link here.

I have always wanted to go to a orchestra performance of Mozart works. When it comes to Classical, Mozart's my fave. But I also like 19th century composers, as well as Baroque composers such as Vivaldi, Bach, etc.
rocketman Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 This is one that I played for my audition to various music schools (combination of light touch with some presto runs thrown in for fun, typical of the genius of Mozart): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMoNOVIjg7w
