Mr. C.O. Jones Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Nice! I really like the Cathedral Reverb, and it may not be the last pedal I buy from them. Their 12ax7 wasn't my kind of thing, I prefere JJ's less noise and smoother. But I would love to have some more of their pedals.
Karloff Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 they do make great pedals. I'd like to check out the cockfight pedal. looks pretty cool. not sure if it is 9v or 9.6v. can't daisy chain the 9.6v's...

It reminded me of my old Mutron III which had the auto wha, fuzz and sustain

Most power supplies like the onespot put out 9.6V It doesn't make a difference to whether or not you can daisy chain
Karloff Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Most power supplies like the onespot put out 9.6V It doesn't make a difference to whether or not you can daisy chain my holy grail plus won't work daisy chained with my onespot. it has to have it's 9.6v separate power supply.
Dub-T-123 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 my holy grail plus won't work daisy chained with my onespot. it has to have it's 9.6v separate power supply. The 9.6V is irrelevant regarding the ability to daisy chain or not. A fresh 9V battery puts out approximately 9.6V, which is why the adapters are typically designed to put out 9.6V. They are usually labelled 9V to avoid confusion but some manufacturers label them as 9.6V The reason the Holy Grail + can't be daisy chained is that it has a (relatively) huge current draw which exceeds capabilities of most adapters. If you have a power supply that puts out enough current you can daisy chain it no problem. Likewise it wouldn't matter if you powered it with 9V as long as there is enough current
