10K-DB Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 One of my fav players, wouldnt it be great to own soo many fine axes? I wouldnt know what to do with them all.
Dub-T-123 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I've seen this posted before, but forgot about it. He's good at demonstrating the sounds I wonder if he's still got his MKI Tone Bender? From what I've read he's not that crazy about the sound but it was the best thing available at the time. So it doesn't seem like he's sentimental about it, but he had the COOLEST sound when he was using the TB!!
pippy Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Yes, It's a very entertaining interview. Thanks for posting it! I first saw it as part of the 'extras' on the Tribute to Les Paul DVD where Mr. Beck and assorted muso's including Brian Setzer played said Tribute Concert at the Iridium Club. Great DVD if anyone hasn't yet seen it! Pip.
JayinLA Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Any guesses about who's Tele he stole out of the dressing room? I am going to say Jimmy Page.
LarryUK Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 This shows his house, cars and guitars. It's in two parts http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3v5XH91Q_8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZxUH33e_Xc
Drog Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 I like when guys talk about their guitar collections. You can feel the passion and wide eyed boy enthusiasm. Guitars are fun!
pippy Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Any guesses about who's Tele he stole out of the dressing room? I am going to say Jimmy Page. I'd be more than a little surprised if that's true. AFAIK Beck and Page were great mates back in the day. Before they morphed into Zep Page played bass for the Yardbirds when Beck was on the six-string. I can't really imagine him nicking his own band-mate's guitar. Might make it awkward at the next rehearsal...... "Hey! I used to have a guitar that looked just like that one......erm.......hang on a mo'......." Pip.

Yeah, and then Page played guitar, and Chris Dreja moved to bass, for awhile, after Beck left! Then, they broke up, and Page went on to form "The New Yardbirds/Led Zeppelin!" I was fortunate enough, to see The Yardbirds, several times, when Beck and Page were both members, at the same time. One time, not long after Beck left, I saw them again, and Page introduced the use of his violin bow, on his Telecaster. It was one of "coolest" things I'd seen, up to that point. CB

Unless they made a game of it with each other stealing it back and forth. Had a friend back in the day and he had this big skull astray (don't judge me ok) that was stolen back and forth between us for many years. He finally got to keep it for good when I moved out to the sticks. Johnny
charlie brown Posted February 2, 2016 Posted February 2, 2016 ala Yep! That song, and "Little Games" as I remember. CB
