yoda Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 I would love to put a pick guard on my Union Jack Sheraton, but I can't find any online. Since the pickups are mini-humbuckers I can't find anything that will work. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
tweed2 Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 I have a Sheraton pick guard, from a '62 Reissue that has minis, up on eBay right now. It's tortoise, which quite frankly, I think would look hideous on your guitar. But, with a tracing template, you could get a clear, or white (or blue or red) one made by Pick Guardian or my favorite, Terrapin. I've also used another guy from eBay (caphob), lately, that's less than anybody else and quick, too. He made one for my RI Sorrento (and my Texan), and already had the template. The clear would protect, but allow the paint job to show through. If you are interested, PM me and I'll trace the guard, before it sells (Monday afternoon) and mail it to you, to check against and send off to one of the above. With a template, any of them should be able to make one that fits. Sheraton(Terrapin) Sorrento(caphob)
Parabar Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 You can order custom pickguards from pickguards.com or pickguardian.com. The original Sheraton pickguards are bound, which can get pricey, but on the Union Jack, a simple 3 or 5 ply beveled design (like a Casino oe Gibson 335) would probably look just fine.
