Thunkin at the CFMarteen, practicing up my You And I/Teacher Preacher skills in the event I run into a 12 string, which I won't. I hate 12 strings. Dinner and awesome cocktails at Bobby Flay, home to a bottle of Perrier Jouet Rose and some presents. Then we'll finish the bottle and watch Crimson Peak.

Besides all the anniversary celebrations, You?

My wife caught a cold and doesn't feel like celebrating. We gave each other hallmark cards and had lunch at Seargeant Peffers Itallian cafe. Sort of a hit on the Beatles, they have Beatle stuff painted on the walls. She has to teach a water aerobics class tonight so I'll workout on weights then we have to babysit the grandson while his mom and dad go out to celebrate Valentine's Day. We decided to post pone till another day.

Valentines.

The epitome of a Hallmark holiday.

I despise it. Wife likes to be recognized on it. Kids like to get stuff.

So we had a small gifting and went our for sushi.

Then let the kids have a go at the Children's Casino Training Camp aka Chuck E Cheese.

It was a nice day despite its meaninglessness.

This is the 29th anniversary of the date the wife and I began living together as a full time and committed couple.

She flew into Buffalo from her gig in New York City and we and our son celebrated with a not so wonderful burrito and Carvel at the Angola service area on the New York State Thruway on our way back to our home in nowheresville. Might not be Bobby Flay's, but hey, it'll do.

It's a totally fabricated "holiday" by the Greeting Card industry to make $$$... such an American thing! LOL!

But instead of paying hiked-up prices on a limited menu, and then being rushed out so more people can be seated so they can make more $$$...

We approach it a little less like a holiday. This morning, we exchanged small gifts. Then, it was off to see Michael Moore's new film, Where To Invade Next [thumbup] … and then a casual dinner of Chinese food.

I spent the day with my wife and she really surprised me at a pet store: she wants to get some Bearded Dragons for house pets!

Then she said loves my tortoises, she's "eh" with the snakes but she's afraid of the monitor lizards but she'll go with me to a reptile show next month and I'll pick out some more monitor lizards and she'll pick out Bearded Dragons because they're cute and funny.

Then off to dinner and a movie. All in all, a good day.

Dropped the wife and kid off at the airport at 6:00AM today. They are now in Costa Rica (kid's class' "field trip"), probably having a great time without me. Ain't I a good husband? [biggrin]

The husband and I had a nice, quiet dinner at Olive Garden (I was craving their salad!) then we took a little drive. We were supposed to go to Cape May and take a Ferry ride (I love Lighthouses and he loves ships), but it was too cold.

Hope everyone else who celebrated had a nice day and that those who don't had a nice day as well! :)

Yes you are… Just make sure no one sees the hooker leaving you house… [flapper]

Spent the day putting up a fence in the freezing cold, watched the rugby, did some gaming, finished with a roast dinner and Netflix. I treat myself msp_thumbup.gif

Mrs. Cougar's birthday was the 12th. Had a little party. I decided to go with white wine. After a while, out comes the karaoke. I sang! On key! I was still recovering on V-day. [crying]

My wife and I went for a quick one night getaway to Ocean City. Went to dinner and had a few drinks at bar, but she had to be back in room by 9 to watch her Walking Dead show. Since I didn't think to bring any earbuds or a tablet or anything else to keep me occupied, I reluctantly watched it too. [rolleyes] Woke up to about 2 inches of snow on Monday and drove home in the mess.

On the way home we passed my favorite liquor store having a huge Presidents Day sale, so I go a nice bottle of Woodford Reserve for $1 over cost. B)
