J45

Gotta hear a song , I agree with sal

Preferably without using the pickup , ya know for scientific purposes

Had my j45 for quite a while now and no guitar has ever came close to its inspirational qualities .

I agree, acoustic guitars are meant to be heard via the sound projecting from the sound hole [smile] I also agree with the rest of the commenters on the burst, I wasn't a fan of the burst until I got a Gibson J-45, it grows on you...and the Gibson sound don't hurt their likability either. Enjoy your new 'love'

After playing it last night for several hours I sure can hear the tonal differences between the 45 and the 15. The 45 projects so much more, I was surprised that it was that much. Now this is in no way a slam to my J15, which I still think is a great guitar. The action is a lot higher than I like and so I am going to take it in and get it setup to my liking. Its hard to believe that I picked this up for what I paid for my J15. I ran the serial and found It was made Feb. 27, 2015 and was #67.

Well done , same as mine and mine was made March 2015 ! I wouldn't part with her for the world . Every time I pick a G chord and feel the resonance in the bass and the sweet trebles I know it's the guitar for me . Only problem I had was finding a suitable capo but the Paige Click works fine .

What problems with finding a suitable capo ?

Just wondering , only one that's not so great on mine is the Newport capo , but no others have gave me trouble .

I lost a Paige capo which is a shame because I really liked it

My shubb has worked perfectly on my J15 and Martin D28. So I will stick with that one

Nice.

I really do like my J-45. Despite the heat we are having here it doesn't, unlike some other guitars I own, stray far in regards to staying in tune. Maybe it's only a fluke on this particular guitar but, if not, Gibson got something right in that aspect.

Just that I find my guitar J45 doesn't get on with the non adjustable types , they tend to pull the 6th string sharp . Also I find that the Paige mirrors the fretboard radius really well ( I tend to play with the capo on the 6th and 7th fret sometimes )
