flatbaroque
Lovely example of a J-45-HummingDove- Seagull. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Vintage-Gibson-acoustic-guitar-Unknown-Inc-Hard-Case-Adelaide-/201538796525?hash=item2eeca5fbed:g:hRIAAOSwZ8ZW4Tqn When purchasing a vintage Gibson on Ebay one does come to appreciate an accurate description.I think this seller strikes the right chord "nothing major to mention other then it has lifted a little down the end where the strings start tan in colour it measures 1 metre in length" Probably from the custom shop during Ren's reign. The bridge was a variation on the traditional moustache known as "The Little Hitler"

EuroAussie
Or maybe an obscure 70's Norlin art deco design. From Adelaide hey? Maybe Terry from Twangers is trying to offload one. Btw: apparently the two '43 SJ' are moving to Germany!

jedzep
Minwax Polyshades I think. Applied with a graining tool.. Awesome! I have to admit to being fooled on Ebay by bad photo/description. A seller used a 'polyshade' product on a 30's L0 tenor that looked VG in the pics. I bought it, bittcched about it, got some money back, stripped it, applied a clear shellac and slapped it back up on Ebay. I made a couple hundred bucks...unless you add in my time and materials. Dave F
I've been fooled a few times on EBay but Thank God for PayPal. For me, as long as you follow the rules you can get scams rectified. I've had 3 incidents where I filed claims and won. Our trading post has been great. On the selling side, I adhere to the Golden Rule and treat others as I want to be treated and try my best to disclose anything I can think of. It shows in your feedback. Dave F
How about a little Brazilian on a Snakehead. At least they straightened up the Gibson logo and properly placed the pick guard. This must be from the 70's The burst looks more like a Martin

SmokeyGhost
Gee, it does seem that snake oil is not in short supply when it comes to selling things which aren't as they appear to be. Wonder how much the seller paid per can?
