BluesKing777
Started a new thread - the other is long. New video with Paul and Joe from MV. I thought Joe was Tony with a hair cut, but he is new. Glad Joe talks in this video - the first appearances in other vids, he played after Paul talked and I thought it looked a lot like me and the Better Half visiting people - you know, me grinning and mute while The Boss talks a bit, well really ...on and on and on... Guess Joe was a bit shy like me... BluesKing777.
E-minor7
First TV Hummingbird from the Villa - Tony for some reason never did one. Well, we seem to have a pattern : They sound and look superb each time they show up (this ex is very dark). No Angie, but a bunch of white horses. All okay - Hope the new guy is able to finger- and flat pick too. We gonna need that. Btw - are the braces torrefied also ?
duluthdan
Sounded pretty good. Wait till that nitro drys. I believe the top braces have also gone thru the thermal aging process.
Salfromchatham
I wrote a whole post, then thought better of it. Let's just say the guitar looks beautiful, and I hope big thumb is doing well; he was an asset to MV and I bet sold a lot of guitars.
MissouriPicker
The guitar looks and sounds great. I'd like to hear the guitar driven a bit more, but that will probably happen in the future. Hope so anyway. Tony is a talented player. I imagine this new guy can give the guitars a good workout.
CAMELEYE
Pickguard looks like it's placed right up at the edge of the soundhole. Was that the way they used to be back in the day?

EuroAussie
Absolutely love the tone of this guitar, it just really has that old school vibe, more than the TV's I reckon. And definitely prefer this approach to reviewing, basically playing material the guitar is most suited for rather than the repetition of what big thumb was constantly putting out. If anything they could have done just a bit more with it, maybe one more song with some picking, that would be just enough. Its a real winner this guitar. For first time in about 2 years I feel a slight sense of GAS..... I think it moved.
Br1ck
I think Gibson has hit it out of the ballpark with these new vintage series guitars. I came very close to buying a J 45 vintage. It was superb. Bought a 1965 Epi Texan instead, but the J 45 vintage got me to mentally adjust my budget so as to consider an older guitar. They do charge a premium for them.
