Digger
After a difficult day yesterday we went into town and ate at a club we like. I had chicken & leek pie, chips and salad. ($10) The food was nice but I could only eat about a 1/4 of it.

I had a Devils Spit Burger with a salad and grilled pineapple steak. Very good.

sparquelito
I made this for my bride late this morning. THE VERY BEST BANANA SANDWICH, EVER Make a peanut butter sandwich. Leave it open-face for a minute. Layer banana slices onto the peanut butter faces. Drizzle with local bee honey. Sprinkle crisp bacon bits onto all. Close it up. Whip up an egg, some vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a bowl. Dunk the sandwich in there, and coat both sides. (just like you are making French Toast, get it?) Drop the sandwich onto a hot skillet with some sizzling butter or olive oil on it. Fry the sandwich just like you are making French Toast. Get it nice and brown on the edges, and the set it on the serving plate. Dollop some whipped cream on there, and drizzle more honey over all. Serves one hungry wife, or seven anorexic super-models.

Brunch was a buffet at Golden Corral and dinner was another buffet at Valentinos. Wife's choices sense we have the grandson today and all night into the morning while Mom and Dad are away. Digger
We were in town this morning and dropped into the RSL at lunchtime. Rather than have a sit down meal we opted for sandwiches at the cafe there and for $7 we each got a plate of beautiful sangers and cups of boiling water so we could have our own tea bags (decaf green tea). What else can you buy for $3.50 these days? Crumbed lamb cutlets for tea tonight.

Won't order that again! Cheap deli meat. Amazes me, food prices climb while quality drops. Good thing we got one meal free and the wife enjoyed her Club sandwich. Didnt feel much like eating so I did something I never do and had a TV dinner for tea tonight. It was Indian style Butter Chicken and rice. It wasn't actually too bad.
