Lars68
You probably get tired of me posting versions of this song over and over. However, I'm just very excited about the great help I got earlier from my neighbor. She helped me with my singing and changed the key up a semitone. Then she added this beautiful accordion to the song, which perfectly suits the gentle gypsy feel of the melody. I'm very excited about this collaboration and it is proof that when playing with others 1+1=3. As usual the singing is less than perfect, but this is the best I can manage. https://soundcloud.com/lars1968/va-r-stad Lars

Salfromchatham
Lars... Was this originally posted months ago in English? I love it in this tongue. The accordion is nice, but most importantly, from what I recall, you found the key, and your range. What a drastic improvement; be proud.
MissouriPicker
Good work, Lars. I have to say it, my friend----You are truly dedicated and driven to do things well. You don't give-up. You keep working at it until you see improvement.

I have never done this one in English, but I posted a version about a month ago along with a rough translation. The song is about life in a small town. Lars68
Good work, Lars. I have to say it, my friend----You are truly dedicated and driven to do things well. You don't give-up. You keep working at it until you see improvement. Doing my own songs is both a blessing and a curse. It is extremely rewarding once I get a song to where I want it, but the way there can be extremely frustrating. In a very real sense, the song does not exist until I have been able to perform it correctly at least once. Before that there is no song, that's how I feel. Songs are ment to be heard and if the playing or singing don't go together or the singing is way off key, there is no song. When doing covers there is always the original to listen to. Now I am the original, which is the cool, but very difficult part. Lars
Avery
Very nice, love the accordion once again. Goes to show you, that you always have it in you to sing on pitch. Might not always be there in the beginning, but you can always reach it with hard work. I also believe that our guitars and other instruments are our best friends in helping us stay on pitch, and showing our voices where to go. Great job.
