Shane Davis
I installed Nano 12's today, replacing the stock Gibson strings on the new J45 Addie top RW. What a difference. Highly recommended. Thought they would be too Taylor like. ...chimes. Nope, added the bass I had been missing, that growl. And the articulation of harmonics and overtones, just way up there. Amazing how those stock strings really buggered up the playability and sound of the guitar. Too bad they bust a lot in sweat and heat, will have to go to D'Addarios if I use this for live play (a job reserved for my Ovation regularly).... D. jvi
gibson makes some great guitars but I dont like the strings much either, also found improved sound with other choices, jp phosphor and dadario as well, enjoy and welcome from another newcomer .... canada eh
Shane Davis
Yep....Canada. Yeh I was shocked how good the nano's are on the Gibby. As my earlier post indicated, the bass response was pretty thin with the old strings. These upped it, a lot!
Lukec88
I really like elixir strings. Always have them on my electric guitar. On dads acoustic I always had phosphor bronze ones, they are really durable and good sounding!
kidblast
Hi, Having used nothing but nano webs for a long time now, I was pretty surprised with the masterbuilt premiums that came strung on my J200 I got about week and a half ago. Eventually, I'll give try a nano web set on the "J" just to see, I've got a spare set of MBs as part of the case candy.

What you describe is the feeling i have with 80/20. I love them, i use Martins SP 80/20 most of the time, they last long. They need a few days to break up, brand new we get some squizzz on slides. Rev Roy
Loving the Elixir PB Lights on my 45. Lots of rich warm bass. VERY different sound than on my Taylor.
