ChrisF Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 I want to replace my Gibby's (LG-2 2014 model) strings for the first time, but I don't really know which ones should I choose and which gauge. All I know is I want coated strings since I want to avoid too much friction (so far my acoustic experiences with uncoated strings has been a little "sticky"). Since it's a smaller body guitar, I'm guessing I should pick my strings very carefully. Can you guys help me with this? Also, I want to replace them myself and I've never changed the strings of an acoustic before, any consideration I should take? Thanks
Stubee Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 I've had a '53 LG-2 for about 15 years. You don't have to be very picky. If you like coated strings I'd just put EXP-16s on it and not look back.

Thanks Chris I really dig the new DAddario NB strings on my LG2 AE - give those a shot. madhat.
