I(Ionian)-IV(Lydian)-V(Mixolydian) These three scales are all major scales and have a major pentatonic scale pattern in each. So here's a rule of thumb Play the V major pentatonic scale over the I,IV, and V major chord. Play the I and V major pentatonic scale over the I major chord page 236 in Jazz Theory by Mark Levine
