LarryUK Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I've just had some Fender strings delivered off eBay. I've not used them yet, but the packaging and printing makes me think they were made in a shed somewhere. Is this problem widespread?
deeman Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Looks like you got some Chings. What won't those bastards counterfeit.

StRanger7032 Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Fake strings? You mean the D'Odorios I scored for $2 a set might not be genuine?
quapman Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Cool! Can I care as little about these as I do fake guitars? Sorry I digress. How do they feel and sound man? If they work who cares? Hell I'll start buying them.

tx-ogre Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Damn it man. Without a serial number, I don't believe any of it. Patience man. It will probably take some time to translate those Chinese characters into an identifiable serial number. 😀

quapman Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Damn it man. Without a serial number, I don't believe any of it. Ya man, you're right. I shoulda waited for Sparky to weigh in before I jump to conclusions.

First the 'you what?' decision to leave Europe, then Iceland avenges its banks being put on a terrorist list in the soccer, and now Larry is getting dodgy strings on the interweb??? - I'd say there's definitely something going down. Definitely. Strange days indeed people.
btoth76 Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Unfortunately, they exist. Unless, Chinese are buying them from the U.S., and resell them cheaper trough their wholesale sites. A lot cheaper. Bence.
