flatbaroque Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrSb82nZo7w&feature=youtu.be Been greatly enjoying The Summer of Hummingbird Love. But can't help feeling for those poor ukes all across the lower 48 - gathering dust in corners. It calls for a song about abandonment played on a uke.Nancy Sinatra did the best version of this. Cheers
Buc McMaster Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Dude. The video is private. I've got a few dusty ukuleles myself.......
flatbaroque Posted July 9, 2016 Author Posted July 9, 2016 Whoops sorry.will fix in a couple of hours.
Buc McMaster Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Dude. You rock! Great song selection! Really enjoy the way you sing with such abandon........let 'er rip! Well done! (As for my ukuleles, I'm afraid they shall remain dusty for a time as my attention is drawn elsewhere for now.)
blindboygrunt Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Well there's certainly no dust on that ukulele Brill FB
flatbaroque Posted July 9, 2016 Author Posted July 9, 2016 Thanks Buc.I only got the uke after seeing what you could do with one.So that's one person you've had an influence on.Cheers mate! Good on ya BBG...bit of dust under the strings over the soundbouard...like all my instruments . Check out this performance by Nancy with the tasty guitar of Mr Billy Strange.Awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUQCOihL3nM
sparquelito Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 My ukulele is getting a workout this weekend. I am scheduled to play at a farewell party for one of my former bosses, next Friday. He's a good fellow, raised on Oahu originally. Going to rewrite the lyrics, and do a song parody of Bradda Iz's Somewhere Over The Rainbow/What A Wonderful World medley. It's going to take a lot of practice this weekend, and I still haven't crafted the lyrics yet!
Avery Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 My first time hearing you with the uke, FB, and it is quite a cool accompaniment to your powerful vocals.
